About the event
Experience a Night of Resilience with Geneviève Salamone at xBk on Saturday May 21st at 7pm. Celebrating the one-year anniversary of her debut original album, Catharsis, this production will feature highlights and collaborations from the award-winning album as well as the unveiling of Ms. Salamone’s Resilience Grant project through the Iowa Arts Council.
Catharsis, meaning the release of pent-up emotions, the music from the album traces Geneviève’s journey in confronting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder through powerful violin and synth instrumentals; each piece of music reflecting a different emotion along her recovery journey. Paired with stunning music video visuals from the Vine Productions, performers for this musical event include the Dueling Fiddles, aerialist Felicia Coe, Traditional Indigenous Dancer Josée Gros-Louis, singer/songwriter Sara Routh, pianist Sarah Vanderpool, Indigenous Drummer Ralph Moisa Jr., and from Montréal, singer Eric Biard-Goble.
